Sumithran P, Prendergast LA, Delbridge E, et al. New England Journal of Medicine. 2011.
Research published in New England Journal of Medicine reported persistent changes in appetite-related hormones after diet-induced weight loss. The study helps explain biological challenges to maintaining weight loss, but does not establish a fixed outcome for everyone.
Wilding JPH, Batterham RL, Calanna S, et al. New England Journal of Medicine. 2021.

Florida Trim Clinic’s educational information is general and is not individualized medical advice. Prescription treatment requires evaluation by a licensed provider. Eligibility, medication selection and dosing depend on individual circumstances.
Compounded drugs are not FDA-approved. The FDA does not review compounded drugs for safety, effectiveness or quality before marketing.
Compounded products are not FDA-approved versions of brand-name drugs, and clinical trials of approved products do not establish equivalent safety or effectiveness for compounded products. FDA registration of a facility is not FDA approval of its compounded medicines. FDA advises compounded drugs should only be used for patients whose medical needs cannot be met by an FDA-approved drug. Availability and prescribing are subject to applicable law and individual provider evaluation.
For compounded GLP-1 medicines, FDA has reported dosing errors and product-quality concerns. Semaglutide sodium and semaglutide acetate are different active ingredients from the one in approved medicines. Follow the licensed provider’s and dispensing pharmacy’s instructions; discuss dosing, storage and any adverse effects with them. Read FDA’s current compounded GLP-1 safety information.
